Scars don’t just exist on the surface-they often disrupt the fascial web, nerve signaling, and muscular coordination long after healing appears complete. This class explores the physiology of scar tissue formation and dysfunction and teaches hands-on techniques to reorganize and soften the matrix. You’ll learn to work with post-surgical and post-injury scars (from C-sections to joint repair), and gain insight into how scar tissue affects movement and emotional embodiment. Class includes demonstration, case studies, and relevant anatomy education, wound phase healing, and types of tissue. Dress comfortably and BRING: two sets of sheets set with face cradle covers, a blanket, snacks/lunch, and note taking materials to every class. Read recommended articles prior to class: www.lafranomassagedynamics.com. Massage tables and water provided. 12 CE hours for Massage Therapists. Chuck LaFrano NCBTMB #344.
