HIGH SCHOOL READY: MATH REFRESHER (Ages 13-17) Reinforces main concepts from 8th grade to senior year mathematics. Homework assignments and final assessment will be part of this course. BRING: Pencils, erasers, calculator, geometry set, graph paper, ruler and notebook. PREREQUISITE: 7th grade math or instructor permission. PURCHASE: Text at RVC Bookstore

Emphasizes geometric reasoning, problem-solving, and practical applications. Students will explore the properties of shapes and their relationships. Homework assignments and a final test will be part of this course.

Geometric Shapes and Angles . Analyzing angles, lines, and geometric shapes. Triangles and Circles . Investigating properties of triangles, circles, and theorems. Area, Volume, and Transformations . Calculating area, volume, and applying transformations.
